Roads and bridges updates

We’re working hard to enable access on our many blocked rural roads. In the meantime:

  • Rural roads: Please avoid all unnecessary travel. Roads which are open are for essential travel only.
  • Urban roads: Please avoid travel at peak hours. Congestion is a real challenge for emergency services, so we need to avoid it.

for state highway information please visit the Waka Kotahi - NZTA website here.
