Wastewater treatment plant works

Waste Water Treatment PlantWhat’s happening?

We are carrying out maintenance work on the tanks at the Clive wastewater treatment plant (284 Richmond Road). The work will make sure that the treatment plant continues to operate efficiently and treat wastewater to high standards.

When’s it happening?

Contractors will be working on-site for the next six months. The team aim to have the work complete by August/September 2024 (bad weather may impact the planned finish date)

We are replacing parts inside the tanks.

Some people in the nearby Clive community may experience occasional noise or odour. To reduce strong smells the team has worked over the last couple of months to get rid of living bacteria. The team will also continue monitoring things as they work.

It will not impact wastewater systems across Hastings. Residents can continue using water as usual.

The project work does not require water supply turn offs.

The road will not be closed.
