PUBLIC NOTICE

PROPOSED LEASE OF CHATHAM PARK

Hastings District Council gives notice that it has received an application from the Hawke’s Bay Tongan Langofounua Community Incorporated to lease a portion of Chatham Park (approx. 1,900m2) for the purposes of building and operating a community centre.

In accordance with Policy 5.3.7 of Hastings District Council’s District Wide Reserve Management Plan, public notification will be undertaken where the application is for the exclusive use of an area of reserve for an activity which has the potential to impact on the reserve or surrounding area.

You are invited to state your support or objection to the granting of the exclusive use of part of Chatham Park to the applicant.

Submissions can be made;

· online using the link above OR

· completion of submission form at Council Reception on the Ground Floor, Hastings District Council Building, Lyndon Rd, Hastings.

If you have already made a submission on this proposal, you do not need to resubmit your response. However if you wish to change your previous submission then please contact parks@hdc.govt.nz.

The closing date for submissions is Tuesday 27th February 2024.
