Hastings warm sunny climate is perfect for enjoying an outdoor lifestyle. There are 350 kilometres of stunning coastline as well as a myriad of parks, playgrounds, cycling trails, walking tracks and golf courses basking under an average 2200 sunshine hours a year.
Hastings has a Mediterranean-style climate with long, fine summers averaging temperatures in the mid 20s (°C), and short, mild winters.
Its high sunshine hours and favourable winter and summer temperatures help make it New Zealand's largest producer of pip and stone fruit, and second largest producer of wine grapes.
