As proposed during consultation in September 2020, Hastings District Council is undertaking significant road renewal works on Mount Erin Road (between Crystall Road and Te Aute Road). These upgrade works have been necessitated by the road's deteriorating condition.
The works are being undertaken in two stages. The first stage from Crystall Road to approximately 69 Mount Erin road was completed at the end of June while stage two is currently underway with improvements being made to the intersection of Mount Erin Road, Te Aute Road and St Georges Road.
Stage Two will see the remainder of the road completed to Te Aute Road with completion set down for December.
The project will include earthworks and site clearance, pavement construction and chip sealing. Stage Two will also see improvements made to the Mount Erin Road/School Road intersection.
Project signage on Mount Erin Road includes the contact details of the site manager, please do not hesitate to contact them should you have any concerns or questions.
The road remains open to traffic during construction with traffic management in place. Please follow directions from traffic management and contractor staff. If you have specific access requirements please discuss this with the contractor as they will be happy to help.
If you would like to be kept informed of ongoing progress of the works via email updates, please enter your details below.
