Mobility Parking

There are a number of mobility parking spaces available for people with disabilities throughout the central business districts of Hastings and Havelock North. These spaces are provided for people with Mobility Parking Permits only.

The spaces are clearly marked in blue on the road with a white symbol, as well as a sign on a pole.

Mobility Parking Permit card holders who find their parking spaces full can use the normal parking spaces - Parking Officers will extend the length of your stay to double that of the time limits within the area.

All Mobility Parking Permit card holders must display a Mobility Parking Permit in their vehicle, which can be obtained from CCS Disability Action or contact the Hawke's Bay branch in Napier on phone (+64 6 834 0499), having first contacted your doctor.

CCS has all the details about where you can park, costs, and how long you are able to park in any one space.

The fine for illegally parking in a mobility parking space is $150.
