Haumoana and Te Awanga BeachHaumoana me Te Awanga

Image of Haumoana Te Awanga beach. Between Napier and Hastings are the seaside villages of Haumoana and Te Awanga, which have a great local art scene. They are the gateway to Cape Kidnappers (Te Kauwae-a-Māui) and are popular with surfers when large easterly swells move into the Bay.

Located right on the beach front on Clifton Road is the most popular and largest of the reserves provided by the Hastings District Council for overnight camping.
