My PropertyTaku wehenga whenua

The My Property database allows you to search for properties using an address, valuation number, legal description and record of title (certificate of title). Expand the heading(s) to view related information.

How to use the database

As you enter the details a list of properties will be displayed; continue to enter the full details or select a property from the list and you will be taken to a page showing information about the property. If you are searching by valuation number, enter this without slashes or dashes. 

Please Note: The Land Transfer Act 2017 came into effect on Monday 12/11/2018. One of the changes is that ‘Certificate of Title’ is now referred to as ‘Record of Title’.

My Property information

Our My Property section allows you to search for any property in Hastings District and view digitally available information about that property. The information you will see includes:

  • Property information (legal description, Record of Title, area, aerial photo)
  • Rates information (valuation number, current valuation, land value, capital value, improvements, current rates breakdown, history of rates) For privacy reasons we cannot display amounts owing – owners need to contact Council to get current balance
  • Planning information (District Plan maps)
  • Building and Resource Consent information (current status, code compliance)
  • Rubbish and recycling collection days
  • Services on a property - select the interactive map from the Aerial Photo to access the GIS mapping data 
  • Neighbourhood (election wards)
  • Separate map to enable you to search for Water Toby location on urban properties
  • Valuation information can be found on the valuation page.
