Campbell Street Watermain Upgrades

As part of the Councils ongoing commitment to drinking water and storm water, work is about to start on upgrades to strengthen and add to the current network for safety, capacity and supply resilience.

Where

Work will take place from Busby Hill along Campbell Street, Middle Road and Porter Drive.

When

This was completed in October 2021. 

Why

To improve safety, capacity and supply resilience of our drinking and storm water infrastructure. 

What to expect

  • The intention is to minimise disruption, however be prepared for traffic delays.
  • There will be restrictions to parking and cyclists during this period. 
  • We understand the impact these works will have on residents and businesses and will be in contact with those directly affected with any driveway access issues.
  • The timing of phase one is designed to ensure work is completed during the school holidays, before Havelock North Primary School resumes in February 2021. 

More information will be provided, particularly to affected residents and businesses closer to the time.  

Please note, in addition to the Council work on Joll Road, there will also be work commencing by a private developer. Alterations to the road may occur as part of this development.
