Puketapu Park is currently closed
Although most urban parks and reserves around Hastings are now safe and open, there are still several across the district that remain closed, these include:
Hazards in these parks and reserves include tracks blocked by fallen trees, destabilized trees at risk of falling, and tracks destroyed or damaged by slips and flooding.
Contractors continue to work hard across the district, however, the recent rainfall has made the ground too wet and soft for heavy machinery. We will keep the community informed as we move through the work.

Council continues to clear tree debris across the district, prioritising urban roads to protect the stormwater system. Works is also underway to clear tree debris from parks and reserves. Please stay away from fallen trees.
