The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, (Sections 229 and 230), sets out the provisions under which a licensee can appoint a temporary or an acting manager in cases where a manager is absent or ill.
If the appointment is for more than 48 hours, a notice of that appointment must be lodged with the Hastings District Licensing Committee and Police.
In the case of a temporary manager without a manager’s certificate being appointed, an application for a manager’s certificate must be applied for within two days.
Please fill in and submit the form below if you are appointing a new, temporary or acting manager. Submitting this form will automatically send a copy to the NZ Police.
