Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay faced unimaginable devastation and loss from Cyclone Gabrielle – one of the worst storms to hit Aotearoa New Zealand in living history.
We acknowledge the deep losses felt right across our communities, including those whānau who lost loved ones, and those whose lives, livelihoods, homes and communities were impacted in unimaginable ways.
A commemoration service was held at Civic Square in Hastings at 11.30am, Wednesday 14 February to commemorate. You can watch the service below.
