Windsor Park

Bordering Hastings' waterpark Splash Planet, Windsor Park is a popular spot in the summer for family sports and picnics, with a free-to-use barbecue and picnic tables on site.

It is also a sports ground catering for a number of codes (see field maps below).

Paths skirting the edge of the grassed sports fields make it popular with walkers, runners and cyclists. If you’ve got time for a stroll follow the stream around to see the ducks and the beautifully kept rose gardens at the park edge on Terrace Road.

The installation of the park’s fully fenced playground was a joint project between Hastings Host Lions Club and Hastings District Council. Play equipment includes a climbing web, swings, seesaw, pirate ship, slides, and large climbing frame.

There are toilets, a drinking fountain and bountiful amounts of shade provided by mature trees.

Public toilets: Yes; closed at night (and sports ground toilets open during organised sporting events only)

The entrances to the park are off Windsor Ave, Terrace Rd, Grove Rd, Sylvan Rd and Albert St.

Maintenance and development programmes for this park are governed by the District Wide Reserve Management Plan.
