The Big Apple Project celebrates the local apple industry and Hawke's Bay artists in a large-scale public art project that shines a light on the amazing successes of our local apple industry in Hawke's Bay and on the world stage.

A collaboration between Arts Inc Heretaunga and Studio Benega with core funding support from Hastings District Council, The Big Apple takes you on a journey of discovery featuring the works of 20 local artists that were selected to participate in the inaugural Big Apple Project.

The project aims to transform public spaces into a fun, free art gallery where followers can learn more about the important industry and the talented creatives that hail from Hawke's Bay, whilst experiencing the delights of our urban offerings. The big apples are on display from early August to late October.

All works will be offered for sale at a public auction on 26 October during the 2022 Hawke's Bay Arts Festival.

For more detail visit The Big Apple Project website or see the team at the Hastings Community Arts Centre, 106 Russell Street South, Hastings.
