Hastings District Council is constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Ōmahu Road and Chatham Road to reduce congestion and improve travel time and road safety. The physical construction works will take approximately 6 months to complete.
The main construction works at the Ōmahu Road / Chatham Road roundabout are now complete.
There will be some minor berm work later next week for finishing, however generally, this will be done using a shoulder closure and the traffic impact will be minimal.
