Our Tradie Breakfast series has now finished.

Created to bring waste minimisation front of mind. Our Tradie Breakfast series brought together local experts to not only introduce you to waste in the demolition and construction industry, but share advice on how to make changes.

Hastings District Council and 3R Group worked together developing these to provide a great line up of topics and guest speakers for these three events.

Session 1

Tuesday 23 August 2022, 7am

A look at the principles of reducing waste, the size of the problem, what’s happening in the space and what you can start to do.

Hastings District Council will talk about the findings of their SWAP (solid waste assessment protocol), looking at the size of the problem and the breakdown of construction waste going to landfill.

Material recovery strategies – how to reduce waste once it gets on your site and how to reduce your waste off site. How to communicate with your team about waste and potential material outflows and second life material options.
