Façade Enhancement Scheme

Facade EnhancementThe aim of the Façade Enhancement Scheme is to provide financial support to building owners and tenants to upgrade their façades, using colour schemes that are both aesthetically pleasing and sensitive to the colour schemes of adjacent buildings, the scheme will remove unsightly features and replace conflicting signage with more sympathetic versions. To be eligible to apply buildings must be located in:

  • The Hastings city centre, or
  • On key traffic routes, or
  • Within suburban commercial shopping areas

The level of funding building owners can receive considers factors such as the size of the façade, profile and significance of the building.  The scheme includes a free no obligation colour consultation and grant of up to $7000.

This scheme gives building owners the opportunity to be a part of the revitalisation of the Hastings CBD.

“The whole process was very easy. The heritage colour scheme was designed to match the colour of the Red Cross emblem. We are delighted with the end result – it has lifted the profile of the site and given us a building that we are proud of”-  Paul Hawke, Red Cross Hastings Branch President.

You can view and download the chart of approved colours from the related documents at the bottom of this page.
