2020 Christmas Work Site Closedown Requirements

This is formal notification to all Service Authorities and Contractors engaged in physical construction works within the Urban (Central Business Districts (CBD) and suburbs for both Hastings and Havelock North)) and Plains and Rural Areas of Hastings District Council, which includes:

• Hastings CBD and Havelock North CBD
  Hastings CBD, bounded by Willowpark Road, Southampton Street, Nelson Street and St Aubyn Street.
  Havelock North CBD, bounded by Porter Drive, Columba Way, Te Mata Road and Joll Road.
  
  All intended works within the areas of the Hastings and Havelock North CBD as described above shall:
  Cease from: Tuesday, 1 December 2020
  Recommence on: Tuesday, 5 January 2021
  (With the exception of approved emergency work)

• Hastings Urban, Plains and Rural (includes all areas outside Hastings and Havelock North CBD)
  
  All intended works within these areas shall:
  Cease from: Friday, 18 December 2020
  Recommence on: Tuesday, 5 January 2021
  (With the exception of approved emergency work)

Please be aware of the following:
Service Authorities / Contractors need to have holes / trenches, etc. in road reserve back filled by the cessation dates as stated above. No pavement repairs shall be left incomplete, all repairs must have surplus chip removed and reinstatements must be deemed complete.

All work sites should be left in an acceptable condition fully useable by the public over the holidays.
