Ten years ago Re-Source Hawke’s Bay founder Nadine Gaunt wanted to pass on her daughter’s outgrown but still good quality clothes to someone in need – today she’s transformed that simple act into a community enterprise supporting social services across the district.
With the help of Kate McDonald, Cressida Hickman and 11 dedicated volunteers, Nadine and her small team turn over 4,000 donated items per month, filling orders placed by social workers for the most vulnerable people in our community.
Using a storage facility provided by Hastings District Council, a $4000 grant from Hawke’s Bay Foundation has assisted her to buy a vehicle to help make deliveries easier.
Thumbs up to Re-Source for helping improve the lives of those in need in our community.
