Welcoming Communities survey

Welcoming Communities survey digital small

As part of its involvement in Immigration New Zealand’s Welcoming Communities programme, Hastings District Council is asking newcomers to the district what makes them feel welcome here.

The Welcoming Communities survey is open until November 1 and is targeted at people who have moved to Hastings in the past five years – either from another country or somewhere else in New Zealand.

This includes recent migrants, former refugees, and international students.

The survey can be taken online, or at the Hastings library, and is intended to determine where people have come from, why they decided to move here, what made them feel welcome and if they faced any barriers or difficulties getting settled in.

This information will help council work alongside our communities and improve accessibility and inclusion for everyone who now calls Hastings home.
