Trips to Ocean Spa, Flipout, Arataki Honey and the movies, as well as sports, crafts and more, are all on the July school holidays menu.
One of the most anticipated events this holidays is the visit of a fire engine and police car to the sports centre on Tuesday [July 10], when the children will get a fun, educational, interactive experience.
Fun Factor runs every school holidays on weekdays from 7.45am to 4pm with after programme care until 6pm available. The children are split into two groups: juniors (aged 5 to 9) and seniors (aged 10 to 13). Children can be booked in for just one day or for multiple days, with registrations taken in advance or, depending on spaces available, on the day.
Hastings District Council community development committee chairman and former primary school principal Malcom Dixon said the range of activities was impressive.
“Really, whatever your child is into, there is something in here. I like that there are things for the sporty, those into crafts, and others who like to get out and about to see new things.”
Fun Factor costs $40 a day, with after-programme care at $5 an hour.
